Charity and Fundraising

In a remarkable display of dedication and community spirit, Amos volunteer Andy and his friend Glaikit, a passionate supporter of the charity, successfully raised £1,600 through their participation in the Aberdeen and Dundee Kiltwalks in 2023. The Aberdeen Kiltwalk took place on June 4, while the Dundee event was held on August 20.

Andy and Glaikit, alongside Robb—an adopted Amos dog—and his two canine companions, walked the challenging trails, representing Amos and raising funds to support the many animals in need. Their efforts not only helped raise vital funds but also brought awareness to the ongoing work of Amos in rescuing and caring for vulnerable animals.

Both Kiltwalk events saw participants from all walks of life, but it was the sight of Andy, Glaikit, and their loyal dogs trekking alongside hundreds of others that truly embodied the spirit of the charity. Robb, who was once a rescued dog himself, joined the walk with his two friends, symbolizing the journey of countless animals that Amos helps every day.

Amos is deeply grateful to Andy, Glaikit, and their canine companions for their dedication and hard work. Their fundraising initiative is a shining example of how individuals can make a meaningful impact, and we are thrilled to support and celebrate such noble efforts. With the funds raised, Amos will continue to provide critical care, shelter, and support to the many animals who rely on the charity’s help. We are always grateful for the generosity of our supporters and welcome similar initiatives with open arms.
