About Amos
Our journey began in North Macedonia in 2019 when our founder, Rinisa, recognized the urgent need to address the alarming homeless animal situation in the country. Driven by a deep compassion for animals and a determination to create lasting change, Rinisa embarked on a mission to provide a brighter future for these vulnerable beings.
In the early years, Amos received invaluable support and gradually gained momentum. We organised one of the first commercial animal transports from North Macedonia to the UK, laying the foundation for building a robust network of adopters, volunteers, fosters, and behaviourists. Through these animal transports, we not only found loving homes for the animals but also established a strong and dedicated community of animal welfare advocates.
As Amos grew, it became evident that the scope of our impact could extend beyond North Macedonia. In 2022, Amos Pet Scotland was established as a support branch, taking on the responsibility and care of every animal adopted within the UK. This expansion allowed us to provide continued support to Amos in North Macedonia, where homeless animals endure daily hardships in challenging conditions.
With the unwavering dedication of our supporters, volunteers, adopters, fosters, and behaviourists, Amos has evolved into a thriving organisation. We have not only built a strong network within the UK and North Macedonia but have also expanded our reach to different regions within the EU.
Our journey continues, fueled by the passion and determination to create a world where every animal is valued, cherished, and protected. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our community, and we invite you to join us in our mission to improve the lives of animals in need.
We are committed to transparency and accountability. As part of our commitment to our supporters and the public, we provide access to our Annual Reports
