Description
Zoki has already needed more help during his short life than any kitten should.
He first came into care when he was still extremely young. Both of his eyes were completely closed and required immediate attention. With consistent treatment using eye drops and ointment, his condition gradually improved and, thankfully, his eyes were successfully saved.
Once he had recovered, an effort was made to provide him with somewhere safer to stay. A small house was bought for him and placed in a sheltered area on a rooftop among trees, where he could be fed and checked every day. He was also treated for internal parasites.
For a while, this became Zoki’s routine.
Then one day he disappeared.
After hours of searching and uncertainty, Zoki was eventually found again. The relief of finding him safe was enormous, but it quickly became clear that something had happened while he was missing. His paw was injured and he needed veterinary attention once again.
A veterinary examination revealed a cut on his paw. The injury required two weeks of local treatment and regular bandaging, together with antibiotic syrup. Zoki responded well to treatment and is now using his paw again.
After everything that happened, the decision was made that Zoki needed somewhere properly secure. He is now living safely in boarding, where he is cared for while waiting for the permanent indoor home he should have had from the beginning.
His personality is particularly gentle.
Zoki is a quiet little cat who rarely feels the need to announce himself by meowing. Instead, he communicates in much subtler ways. He watches people with his expressive eyes, relaxes into affection, and begins to purr when he feels comfortable and loved.
He genuinely enjoys being stroked and cuddled. There is nothing demanding or overwhelming about the way he seeks affection. He is simply a soft natured kitten who appreciates kindness and responds beautifully when someone gives him attention.
For someone looking for a particularly gentle young cat rather than the loudest personality in the room, Zoki could be a lovely match. His quieter temperament does not mean that he should be overlooked when it comes to interaction. He is still a young kitten who will benefit enormously from regular play, affection, and involvement in everyday family life.
As he grows, his future family should provide him with everything a young indoor cat needs to develop confidently. Toys, scratching posts, climbing opportunities, comfortable sleeping areas, and regular interactive play will allow him to exercise and explore safely. Having already experienced life in an unsecured outdoor environment and suffered an injury while missing, Zoki is specifically looking for a home where he can live safely indoors.
Zoki has already received treatment against external parasites, while vaccination was listed as the next step in his veterinary care at the time his information was provided. His future family should therefore confirm his current vaccination status and continue all routine preventative veterinary care as he grows.
His first months have involved eye treatment, disappearing and being found injured, another course of veterinary treatment, and finally moving into boarding. Despite all of those changes, Zoki remains an exceptionally sweet and affectionate little cat.
What he needs now is stability.
A permanent indoor home would give Zoki the opportunity to leave temporary arrangements behind and grow up knowing the security of having his own family. In return, his adopters will have a gentle little boy who may not have much to say with his voice, but has no difficulty showing affection through his purrs and the quiet way he enjoys being close to the people who care for him.
