Description
Shiver is a young male dog with a remarkably gentle spirit and an extraordinary capacity for love. Rescued from the streets as an injured puppy, he sadly lost one of his hind legs early in life.
Despite this difficult start, Shiver has never lost his joy or trust in people. He is friendly and people-oriented, with a loving nature. Shiver enjoys running, playing, cuddling, and engaging with the world just like any other dog. He moves well on three legs and does not view himself as different, only as a dog eager to give and receive love.
In the rescue environment, Shiver struggles emotionally. More confident dogs tend to bully him and he often retreats and hides, spending much of his time withdrawn. This is heartbreaking, as his true personality shines when he feels safe.
Shiver can be homed with other dogs, provided they are kind and respectful, but he would also thrive as an only dog or in a calm household where he can build confidence at his own pace. He is looking for a forever home where he will be cherished not for what he has lost but for who he is: a sweet, loyal, and loving companion who will reward his family with affection and devotion.
