Description

Odin arrived in the UK as a tiny pup through another rescue, but sadly, his first placement didn’t work out. After a while in his first home, he found himself in need of a second chance. Thankfully, we stepped in and he was placed in a loving foster home where he has spent most of his life. Now, a year later, Odin is still waiting for the family who will make him theirs forever.

In his foster home, Odin has proven himself to be an incredible companion. He shares his space harmoniously with two other dogs, and his affection for the people around him is boundless. He’s house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows basic obedience commands. His foster carers describe him as loving, friendly, and obedient—a dog who truly thrives in a home environment.

Odin’s past holds a significant story of his resilience. Before he was moved to a foster home, his previous owner reported that he had snapped at them without warning. Once in the foster home, he seemed uncomfortable and as if he was in pain. Concerned about his behavior, Odin was taken to the vet, where X-rays revealed a shocking discovery—a tennis ball had been lodged in his stomach for quite some time. This foreign object was causing him immense discomfort and distress. Thanks to emergency surgery, the tennis ball was successfully removed, and Odin made a full recovery. Since then, he has been thriving in his foster home with no behavioral issues whatsoever.

Because of his history, Odin’s future family should avoid giving him tennis balls or similar-sized toys. However, this doesn’t hold him back from enjoying other types of play and bonding activities. He’s a happy, curious, and playful boy who loves exploring his surroundings and spending quality time with his humans.

Odin would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. While he adores other dogs and gets along wonderfully with them, he wouldn’t be suitable for a home with cats, birds, or other small animals. Additionally, because of his energy and enthusiasm, he’s best suited to a household without small children.

Odin has his whole life ahead of him to share with a loving family. He’s the kind of dog who will greet you with a wagging tail, follow you from room to room, and curl up at your feet after a long day. He’s been through so much, but his heart remains open and ready to give his all to the right people.
Odin’s story is one of second chances and the power of love and patience. He’s been waiting for a family who will see past his challenges and recognize the incredible companion he is.
