Description
Kuma and Orange once had everything they needed. A home, a routine, and most importantly, a person they loved and trusted completely.
When their owner passed away, their world changed overnight.
For animals, grief can be every bit as real as it is for people, and both boys felt that loss deeply. Kuma struggled particularly hard with the sudden change and became so withdrawn that he refused food for several days. During that difficult period, Orange never left him alone. He stayed close to his friend constantly, sleeping beside him, sitting beside him, and offering comfort in the only way cats know how.
It quickly became clear that their bond went far beyond simply sharing a home.
These two genuinely rely on one another emotionally.
Although they each have their own personalities, they function as a team. They seek each other out throughout the day, sleep together, groom each other, and provide reassurance during stressful situations. After already losing their owner, separating them now would mean asking them to cope with a second major loss immediately afterwards.
Both boys are affectionate and people orientated cats who enjoy human company and appreciate attention and affection. Having grown up in a home environment, they understand routines, enjoy the comforts of indoor life, and know what it means to belong to a family.
They are gentle, well mannered companions who are now simply looking for stability again.
Losing an owner can be particularly difficult for animals because they do not understand why the person they love has disappeared. All they know is that life suddenly became different. Through all of that uncertainty, Kuma and Orange had each other, and that friendship helped carry them through one of the hardest experiences of their lives.
Now they need someone willing to give both of them a second chance.
Adopting a bonded pair often sounds intimidating, but in reality it comes with many advantages. Cats who are already strongly attached to one another often settle into new homes more easily, provide companionship during the day, and help reduce stress during periods of change. Most importantly, they already come with a lifelong best friend included.
Kuma and Orange have already suffered the greatest loss they could imagine.
What they need now is not another goodbye, but a family willing to open their home to both of them and allow them to remain exactly what they have always been: a team.
Together.
