Janessa is a medium sized mixed breed with a beautifully gentle personality. She has spent much of her life quietly waiting for someone to notice her, often overlooked in favour of louder or more confident dogs. There is nothing flashy about her appearance or behaviour, but what she offers is something far more valuable: kindness, patience, and an exceptionally sweet nature.
She is naturally timid and reserved, especially in unfamiliar situations or around people she does not yet know. Janessa prefers to observe first before deciding she feels comfortable, and she will never force herself into the centre of attention. Future adopters should understand that trust is something she builds gradually, but once she feels secure, she becomes deeply devoted to the people she loves.
Indoors, Janessa is a wonderfully calm companion. She is not particularly energetic around the home and is happiest relaxing nearby, enjoying the quiet company of her family. Outside, however, another side of her personality appears. Given the freedom to run in a secure area, she becomes surprisingly fast and joyful, stretching her legs with an enthusiasm that is lovely to watch. Despite her slightly clumsy way of moving, she is remarkably agile once she gets going.
Janessa is intelligent, obedient, and eager to please. She enjoys having clear routines and responds well to gentle, positive guidance. She is not the type of dog who will constantly test boundaries or seek excitement, making her an excellent companion for someone looking for a calm and cooperative dog.
She walks very nicely on a lead and enjoys peaceful walks where she can quietly explore her surroundings. Busy, noisy environments are unlikely to be her favourite, but slower walks through parks, countryside paths, or quiet neighbourhoods suit her perfectly.
With other dogs, Janessa is incredibly polite and socially aware. She gets along very well with calm, respectful dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. She loves gentle play, quiet companionship, cuddling, and even grooming her canine friends by licking them affectionately. However, she is very aware of her own physical vulnerability and instinctively keeps her distance from rough, boisterous, or overly energetic dogs. She dislikes being knocked into or handled roughly and will simply move away rather than become involved. A home with another gentle dog would likely suit her very well, although she would also be perfectly happy as an only dog.
She could also live with cats. Based on her temperament, she is unlikely to bother them and would probably choose to give them plenty of space, making peaceful coexistence a realistic possibility.
One of Janessa’s most endearing qualities is her quiet sensitivity. She notices everything, responds gently to the emotions of those around her, and seems to appreciate calm voices, predictable routines, and peaceful environments. She is not a dog who seeks constant excitement. Instead, she thrives when life is steady, gentle, and reassuring.

Quiet dogs rarely demand attention in busy kennels, and because she is neither flashy in appearance nor loud in personality, people often walk past without truly seeing her.
