Description
Deena was rescued alongside her brother Darius, but anyone spending time with the pair quickly discovers that being siblings does not mean having the same personality.
The two are not bonded and do not depend on one another, so there is no requirement for them to be adopted together. They can find separate homes where their individual characters are the best fit.
And Deena certainly has a character of her own.
If Darius is the silly sibling, Deena considers herself the princess.
She is naturally chilled and seems to approach life with a certain quiet confidence. Deena is not interested in creating unnecessary drama when she could instead be comfortable, relaxed, and looking her best.
Taking care of her appearance is particularly important.
Deena loves grooming herself and spends plenty of time carefully maintaining her coat. She takes her personal hygiene duties seriously and appears to enjoy the process of keeping herself neat and tidy.
It fits her personality perfectly. Deena seems to carry herself as though everyone should already understand that they are in the presence of someone rather important.
Her princess status does not mean she is difficult about the company she keeps, however.
Deena is fine with both cats and dogs and is comfortable sharing her environment with other animals. This gives her plenty of options when it comes to her future home. She could potentially join a household with resident cats, dogs, or both, provided introductions are handled gradually and sensibly.
Her relaxed nature is one of her most appealing qualities.
Deena does not need to spend every moment looking for excitement. She appreciates being able to settle somewhere comfortable and enjoy a peaceful part of the day. A home with cosy sleeping areas, elevated places to observe the household, scratching areas, and opportunities to play and explore would give her plenty of choice over how she spends her time.
She may share her rescue story with Darius, but she should not be viewed simply as one half of a sibling pair.
Deena is very much her own cat.
For someone considering both siblings, they can certainly be adopted together and already know one another well. However, neither needs the other in order to move forward, and we would be equally happy for Deena to find a home of her own.
Her future family should be prepared to accept the household hierarchy fairly quickly.
Deena will take care of the grooming. She will decide which comfortable location currently meets her standards. The other cats and dogs may remain in residence. Her humans may provide attention, food, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and whatever else a princess reasonably requires.
In return, they will have a calm, sociable cat who is comfortable around other animals and knows exactly who she is.
Deena does not need to be the loudest or busiest cat in the room to make an impression. She is chilled, beautifully self maintained, comfortable in her own company and around other animals, and entirely convinced that princess treatment is simply the appropriate standard of care.
Her future family will just need to agree.
