Description
Zoela’s story began in a car park, surrounded by cars and completely alone.
She was still a very young kitten when she was spotted frightened on the cold ground with nobody looking after her. At such a young age, surviving alone around moving vehicles, without reliable access to food, shelter, or protection, placed her in an extremely vulnerable situation.
Thankfully, she was noticed in time and taken to safety.
It soon became apparent that being abandoned was not the only difficulty Zoela was facing. She had significant swelling around her abdomen and required veterinary attention. She was taken to a veterinary clinic in Avtokomanda, where the decision was made that surgery was necessary.
For such a tiny kitten, it was a considerable ordeal, but the procedure was successful.
Zoela recovered well following her operation and continued attending her veterinary checks while her wound healed. She has now completed her recovery, her surgical wound has healed completely, and she is described as healthy, active, and playful.
With the medical problems behind her, her personality has been given the opportunity to properly emerge.
Zoela is an exceptionally sweet and affectionate little cat. She enjoys human attention and loves being close to people, but one of the nicest things about her personality is that she does not necessarily need to be the centre of everything happening around her.
She simply likes being nearby.
If someone is relaxing, Zoela is happy to settle close to them. If they are working at a computer, she can find herself a comfortable place nearby and keep them company. Even when people are busy with everyday activities around the home, she seems content simply knowing that her humans are there.
She has a calm side to her personality that makes her very pleasant to have around, while still having all the curiosity and playfulness expected from a young kitten.
Zoela is also already accustomed to living inside a home. She learned to use her litter tray very quickly and has adapted well to household routines. This should make the transition into her permanent home easier, although her adopters should still expect a normal adjustment period while she becomes familiar with new people, smells, sounds, and surroundings.
As a young kitten, Zoela will need plenty of opportunities to play and explore safely. Interactive toys, scratching posts, climbing areas, comfortable beds, and places where she can watch what is happening around her will all help keep her entertained and support her development. Regular play will also give her an appropriate outlet for the bursts of energy that naturally come with kittenhood.
Her affectionate personality means she would particularly suit someone who wants a cat who enjoys being involved in everyday home life. She does not need constant entertainment to be content. Sometimes being in the same room as her person, curled up somewhere comfortable while they continue with their day, is enough for her.
After everything that happened at the beginning of her life, Zoela ‘s needs for the future are very straightforward. She needs to remain an indoor family pet in a safe and responsible home where her health, wellbeing, and security will always come first.
The frightened kitten who was once alone in a car park is now healthy, playful, settled around people, and ready for the part of her life that matters most: becoming someone’s much loved family cat.
