Description
Ziggy’s life has been a whirlwind of ups and downs, and now he’s searching for a forever home where he will never have to move again. His story began in the backyard of an abandoned house, where his brave mother did everything she could to keep him and his siblings safe. Against all odds, she managed to ensure their survival until a kind-hearted woman from a nearby home discovered them and reached out for help.
When we took them in, we were able to find loving homes for all of Ziggy’s siblings in the UK. However, luck wasn’t as kind to Ziggy. His first adoption did not go as planned—he had a habit of running away, and eventually, his adopters decided they no longer wanted him. Ziggy was placed in a foster home, but again, his restless spirit led him to escape. Thankfully, we managed to find him before any harm came to him, and from that moment on, he was kept safe and secure. He settled into his foster home well, adjusting to the love and care he deserved.
It seemed like Ziggy’s fortunes had changed for the better when his brother Skipper’s family decided to adopt him as well. He and Skipper were finally reunited, living together in harmony and happiness. But once again, life had other plans. Their family tragically lost their home and had to move immediately, which meant Ziggy and Skipper were placed in a foster home. Sadly, due to a lack of proper exercise, both of them gained a significant amount of weight, which is not ideal for their health and well-being.
Ziggy is a sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely loves cuddles, but his past experiences have made him somewhat anxious. He needs a patient and understanding home that will give him the time and stability he craves. He is generally fine with other dogs and cats, making him a great companion in a multi-pet household. However, he is frightened of fireworks, so he will need a safe and secure place where he can feel protected during loud events.
An old injury from his first home, where he was hit by a car, sometimes causes him discomfort in one of his legs. Because of this, he will benefit from a home that can provide him with the right balance of exercise—enough to keep him active and help him regain a healthy weight, but without pushing him too hard.
